About the team
The Technology Risk Management team supports the Hong Kong Branch IT function in technology risk governance, control reporting, regulatory assessment support, audit coordination, and issue remediation tracking. The team works closely with IT, business, and control stakeholders to maintain an effective technology risk and compliance framework across the Branch.
Role requirements
- Support IT risk governance activities for the Hong Kong Branch, with a focus on non-cyber technology risk and compliance matters.
- Coordinate and support regulatory, compliance, and control-related assessments.
- Maintain risk registers, issue logs, action trackers, and remediation status reports.
- Support internal, external, and regulatory audit coordination, including evidence collection and follow-up tracking.
- Prepare periodic risk, control, KPI, and KRI reports for management review.
- Assist in reviewing and enhancing technology risk and control processes.
- Work with stakeholders to track remediation actions and ensure timely closure of findings.
- Support governance reviews related to technology incidents and control issues.
- Assist in maintaining policies, procedures, and related governance documentation where required.
- Provide practical support and coordination across IT and control functions on technology risk and compliance matters.

- Monitor issues, action plans, and remediation progress, and escalate where appropriate.
- Prepare clear reporting and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Recommend process improvements to strengthen control effectiveness and reporting quality.
- Provide support and coverage for team activities as required.

Work experience, education and skills
- University degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, or related discipline.
- 10 years of Relevant experience in IT risk, technology compliance, technology audit, internal control, or related governance functions.
- Experience in banking or other regulated financial institutions is preferred.
- Good understanding of technology risk, compliance processes, audit coordination, and remediation tracking.
- Familiarity with topics such as outsourcing risk, cloud-related risk, third-party risk, and operational control would be an advantage.
- Experience in maintaining risk registers, issue tracking, KPI/KRI reporting, and governance documentation.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or similar would be an advantage.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Cantonese and/or Mandarin would be an advantage.
- Japanese language capability would be a plus.
