Description
Software Engineering & Development (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): Serves as senior level developer to multiple State Street initiatives. Analyzes, designs, and develops software applications to support these initiatives. Controls and/or provides solutions to single and/or multiple organizations, with minimal management guidance. Specific duties of the position include: Provides technical expertise in analyzing, designing, estimating, and developing software applications to project schedule; Creates technical project plans and deliverables and monitors task deadlines; Provides technical subject matter expertise in reviewing, analyzing, and resolving complex issues; Responsible for resolution, communication, and escalation of critical technical issues; Prepares user and systems documentation as needed; and Identifies and recommends Industry best practices. Hybrid remote telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other related field; plus 10 years of experience in any occupation/title providing progressive IT experience.
Must have: Proven ability to work in a team of agile developers; Demonstrated ability to provide agile status notes on day to day project tasks; Demonstrated experience working on complex deadline driven projects with minimal supervision; Proven ability to design/develop with minimum requirements by effectively coordinating activities between business analysts, scrum leads, developers and managers; Proven strong ability in the following technologies as a design lead: PL/SQL, Perl, Scripting languages and other open source technologies; Demonstrated solid ability with SWIFT message flows MT-527, MT-558, MT-596, MT-54X and MT20X; Proven end-to-end understanding of software architecture, design, development and implementation; Proven experience with continuous integration and build process, test automation and deployment; and Proven strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated experience writing and reviewing technology documents including user guides. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the ability in the skills listed above with no specific number of years of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently).
Salary: $178,131 to $230,000 Annual.
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
