Description
We're looking for people who put their innovation to work to advance our success - and their own. Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Team Leadership & Development (Global PMO Enablement)
- Own people leadership and performance accountability for a growing PMO organization based in India, including team capability, delivery outcomes, and balancing resource availability.
- Lead and develop the India PMO organization through close partnership with the local PMO manager, focusing on scaling foundational project management standards, and operating models as the team grows.
- Establish clear operating rhythms, role clarity, and a consistent "how we run programs" playbook across regions (e.g., planning standards, execution cadence, quality checks, and escalation paths).
- Act as a senior PMO leader and role model for project execution excellence across Europe, India, and the U.S., influencing outcomes through partnership rather than direct authority where applicable.
- Supervise execution of priority programs, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget while maintaining strong quality outcomes.
- Provide direct project/program leadership for select business-critical initiatives-especially where structure, coordination, risk management, or multi-functional execution needs strengthening.
Multi-functional Coordination (Engineering Partnership + Portfolio Delivery)
- Partner closely with engineering, product management, integrated supply chain, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure alignment of priorities, resources, dependencies, and timelines.
- Strengthen collaboration with Germany-based hardware and embedded engineering teams responsible for a shared technology platform used across multiple product lines-improving execution field, achievement clarity, road mapping cadence, and interested party alignment.
- Define and deploy scalable PMO processes, templates, and governance (e.g., program reviews, change control, decision logs, risk management, critical issue pathways).
- Improve consistency of execution across sites by introducing practical standards for planning, scheduling, resource forecasting, turning point management, and reporting.
- Build a long-term capability plan for PMO growth in India (training, onboarding, tools adoption). Opportunity for EU expansion.
- Optimize resource planning and allocation across projects, balancing capacity dynamically to meet changing business priorities and ensure effective utilization.
- Identify bottlenecks and proactively drive resolution across functional groups.
- Collaborate with key partners to support selection and prioritization of R&D/NPI work aligned to strategic objectives and business goals.
- Improve portfolio transparency and trade-off clarity (value, urgency, capacity, and risk).
Continuous Improvement (Process + Tools + Metrics)
- Own and evolve elements of the NPI/development lifecycle governance to ensure consistent and efficient product development execution.
- Drive continuous evaluation and enhancement of project management processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Define and track KPIs to measure program health and business impact (e.g., schedule alignment, achievement quality, delivery confidence, risk aging, resource load).
- Lead regular business reviews to communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions needed from senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in NPI, R&D program leadership, or PMO leadership, including complex multi-functional program delivery.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience (direct), including coaching, developing, and leading teams in a matrixed organization.
- Proven ability to build PMO capability: standards, governance, operating rhythms, reporting, and consistent execution practices.
- Proven record of leading large-scale, complex technical programs with distributed global teams.
- Strong stakeholder leadership skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and senior stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making ability to drive clarity and execution discipline.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering-focused organizations.
- Occasional travel to India and/or U.S. sites may be required
- Experience scaling or redefining a PMO organization (team growth, maturity build, standardization).
- Experience working across EMEA/India/U.S. time zones and global delivery models.
- Experience partnering with hardware engineering teams and embedded/platform development programs.
- PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum certification (helpful but not required).
- German and/or English fluency depending on local team needs.
