The Department of Digital Financial Technology at Chang Gung University (CGU), Taiwan, invites applications for two full-time faculty positions at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor level. Appointment rank will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and experience. The anticipated starting date is August 2027.

The Opportunity
We seek scholars who will contribute to the department's research development, teaching, and academic service. Applications are welcome from candidates in finance, financial technology, and related data- and technology-oriented fields. The successful candidates will have opportunities to engage with an interdisciplinary university community spanning management, computing, engineering, and medicine.

Areas of Interest
Research areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to:

   Asset pricing and investments

   Corporate finance and financial institutions

   Financial markets and market microstructure

   Financial technology (FinTech)

   Artificial intelligence and machine learning in finance

   Financial data analytics

   Digital assets, blockchain, and platform finance

   Sustainable finance and other emerging areas of finance

Outstanding candidates in other areas of finance or closely related disciplines are also encouraged to apply.

Qualifications
   A Ph.D. in finance, information systems, information management, computer science, business analytics, financial informatics, or a closely related discipline by the appointment date.

   A strong record of scholarly achievement or clear potential to produce high-quality research.

   A commitment to effective teaching and academic service.

   The ability to teach courses in English. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Appointment and Compensation
Salary and benefits will be determined in accordance with University policies and will be commensurate with the appointee's qualifications and professional experience. CGU also offers access to institutional research resources and opportunities for interdisciplinary and industry collaboration.
