Position Summary, Manager of Equipment Engineering
The manager of Equipment Engineering will manage the NY Creates Equipment Engineering Team and the Equipment Support Team. These teams support the 24hr/7day operation of the 300mm facility at NY Creates.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with NY Creates standards and practices
- Report on department projects and goals
- Plan, Manage and assign projects to project leaders in the department
- Plan Semiconductor equipment installations, removals, upgrades and repairs
- Plan and monitor budgets for equipment purchase and installation
- Monitor communication to the teams on requests for department assistance
- Respond to reported issues, at times with a hands-on approach if needed
- Delegate tasks to the teams when receiving requests for equipment assistance
- Mentor engineers on NY Creates BKM's for a semiconductor environment
- Work closely with EH&S, Vendors, Tenants, Partners and HR to accomplish department and company goals
- Ensure support equipment is maintained, repaired and calibrated
- Specify, order and maintain specific department parts and supplies
- Advise on install and maintenance needs on semiconductor and support equipment
- Review and approve time-off requests, manage coverage schedules
- Hiring and onboarding of new department employees
- Other reasonable duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications, Manager of Equipment Engineering
- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline
- 5+ years of technical or engineering management experience.
- Semiconductor processing or Semiconductor maintenance experience

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000
*Posted salary rates are determined upon experience and education
