Description
The Computer Science Division at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-SZ) aims at building a world-class interdisciplinary research and educational center for data science. The Computer Science Division belongs to the School of Data Science which has over 100 faculty members, many of whom have experience at top-tier universities and significant international impacts in their fields. The school is now inviting extraordinarily qualified candidates to fill multiple tenured/tenure-track/teaching-stream positions at all academic ranks.
We welcome experts in all areas of Computer Systems (including architecture, HPC, security, software engineering, OS, networking, databases, etc.), Artificial Intelligence, Theoretical Computer Science, and interdisciplinary areas.
For tenure-stream positions: We especially encourage individuals whose interests and backgrounds are at the intersection of multiple areas to apply. Applicants should hold or expect to obtain a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field. The ability to teach effectively, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels to diverse groups of students, is required. Junior applicants must demonstrate a clear and high potential to enhance research and educational missions of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Senior applicants must have a well-established record of research and teaching accomplishments and have demonstrated scientific creativity and leadership with externally funded and highly visible research programs.
For teaching-stream positions: Junior applicants must demonstrate a clear and high potential of teaching excellence. Senior applicants are expected to demonstrate an established record of teaching accomplishments, relevant academic activity, and leadership. The school offers an excellent package for its teaching-stream faculty, including competitive salary and a life-long career development path from Lecturer to Full Professor (Teaching). Teaching-stream faculty will also have opportunities to join ongoing research projects of the school, particularly in collaboration with industry partners and other research units of the university.
