Description
The Saginaw County Road Commission is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Engineering to lead our Engineering Department and serve as a key member of our management team. As Director of Engineering, you will oversee the planning, design, and delivery of county road and bridge projects, manage state and federal transportation funding, supervise engineering staff, and help shape the future of Saginaw County's transportation infrastructure.
What You'll Do
Lead and supervise the Engineering Department.
Serve as the Road Commission's Professional Engineer.
Oversee state and federally funded road and bridge projects.
Develop and manage departmental budgets.
Coordinate engineering design, construction, asset management, and permitting.
Work closely with MDOT, FHWA, and local municipalities
Participate in strategic planning as a member of the SCRC Management Team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Michigan.
At least 5 years of experience in roadway and bridge design and construction.
Experience with budgeting, long-range planning, and asset management.
Knowledge of GASB-34 requirements.

Requirements
Qualifications
