Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the electrical engineering department — staffing, structure, succession planning, and setting the standards everyone else works to.
• Serve as Engineer of Record on complex electrical projects across commercial, institutional, healthcare, higher education, and government facilities.
• Design and document power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage, emergency power, and critical systems from concept through construction.
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic goals for the discipline and represent the practice in client meetings and industry events.
• Coordinate across architecture and MEP teams throughout design development, resolving complex technical challenges as they arise.
• Oversee project delivery across multiple market sectors, ensuring electrical scopes land on time and within budget.
• Support business development — proposals, pursuits, and identifying new market opportunities and service offerings.

Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, including leadership roles.
• Active PE license in Maryland, Virginia, and/or Washington DC.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IECC, ASHRAE, and local jurisdictional codes.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical calculation tools; experience coordinating within BIM and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and influence at the executive level.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
