The OBU Engineering Department is dedicated to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and industry engagement, with a strong emphasis on undergraduate education, hands-on learning, and project-based experiences within a Christ-centered, liberal arts environment.

OBU is seeking faculty members for our new engineering program in both Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Ideal candidates will have strong academic and professional backgrounds in their respective engineering disciplines, significant industry experience, and a commitment to Christian values. Candidates should demonstrate or show strong potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching, mentoring, and student development.

These positions will include teaching undergraduate engineering courses, engaging in scholarly and professional activities, and mentoring students as they prepare for successful careers and meaningful service.

Special Requirements

Candidates must be members of a local evangelical* Christian church.
*Evangelical is a broad term referring to a segment within Christianity that maintains the authority of the Bible and the belief in salvation by faith in Jesus alone.
