Company Overview
K2 Space is building large, high powered spacecraft for the next generation of space development. Backed by First Round Capital, Republic Capital, early SpaceX engineers and many others ($16M raised to-date), the team at K2 intends to mass produce the highest powered satellite platform to-date.
With the rise of launch vehicles like Falcon 9 and Starship, we’re about to move from an era of mass constraint to an era of mass abundance. In this new era, the spacecraft we put in these launch vehicles should look fundamentally different.
We’re a team that believes the future lies in figuring out how to build large, high powered satellites that can handle multiple orbits. This is not only an opportunity, but in fact a necessity if we ever want to develop the solar system and become a Kardashev Type II (K2) civilization.
