The Department of Mechanical, Industrial, and Mechatronics Engineering (MIME) in the Faculty of Engineering & Architectural Science at Toronto Metropolitan University invites applications for three (3) tenure track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in Mechatronics Engineering. We welcome applicants in all areas of Mechatronics/Robotics that complement research of the Mechatronics Engineering group (deadline for full consideration: March 1, 2026).

Requirements
Located in downtown Toronto, the largest and most culturally diverse city in Canada and on the territory of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee and the Wendat Peoples, the Department of Mechanical, Industrial, and Mechatronics Engineering (MIME) in the Faculty of Engineering & Architectural Science at Toronto Metropolitan University invites applications for two tenure track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in Mechatronics Engineering focusing on Advanced Mechatronics/Robotics, effective July 1, 2026, subject to final budgetary approval.
The successful candidates will engage in a combination of teaching, scholarly research or creative activities, and service duties while maintaining an inclusive, equitable, and collegial work environment across all activities. Teaching duties will entail teaching and developing curriculum at undergraduate and graduate levels, and supervising students. The successful candidates will further pursue a strong, externally funded, innovative research program or creative activity that produces cutting-edge, high-quality results.
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical-Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field by the appointment date.
