Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor in Computational Science and Engineering
The School of Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) in the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA, U.S.A. invites applications for multiple openings for the position of Assistant Professor (tenure-track); openings for Associate Professor and Professor (tenured or tenure-track) are also available. All positions are full-time and are located in Atlanta, GA, U.S.A. The School of CSE focuses on foundational research of an interdisciplinary nature that enables advances in science, engineering, medical, and social domains. Duties of these positions include developing and sustaining a research program in one or more of our core areas: high-performance computing, data science and visual analytics, scientific computing and simulation, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and computational bioscience and biomedicine. We also welcome candidates in the area of AI and finance, with the opportunity to be considered for the JPMorgan Chase Endowed Career Development Professorship. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students. Duties also include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses (classroom teaching), as well as providing service to the School, College and the Institute. A PhD degree is required by the starting date of the job, in a discipline relevant to the field of Computational Science and Engineering, including a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Science.
Applicants are expected to engage in substantive research with collaborators in other disciplines. For example, current faculty have domain expertise and/or collaborations in computational chemistry; earth sciences; biomedical and health sciences; urban systems and smart cities; social good and sustainable development; materials and manufacturing; and others.
