Our client is a fast-growing, mid-sized engineering group operating in a highly project-driven industrial environment. The organization combines entrepreneurial speed with private equity discipline.

To support its ambitious buy-and-build strategy, the group is seeking a Commercial Integration Manager to lead and execute post-merger integrations across newly acquired entities. The role is based in Munich, Germany, and requires regular travel to portfolio companies. What the job involves

This is a classic PMI role. You step in where needed, take ownership quickly, and ensure newly acquired businesses are commercially integrated in time. The focus areas include finance processes, project reporting, and overall commercial governance.

• Leading the commercial integration of newly acquired entities
• Aligning financial reporting, controlling, and HR processes
• Ensuring clean financial structures under HGB and IFRS
• Implementing and validating IFRS 15 / POC logic in project environments
• Deep diving into bookings, accounting systems, and project calculations
• Identifying operational weaknesses and driving immediate improvements
• Working closely with local management teams and strong technical leaders
• Ensuring transparency and performance in complex project businesses
• Chance to develop into a commercial management role (either on holding level or as local executive)

Who we are looking for

• We are seeking a strong commercial project profile, ideally from an engineering or industrial project environment
• Commercial Project Manager
• Project Commercial Lead in construction, plant engineering, mechanical engineering, or industrial project business
• Finance professional with strong exposure to project accounting
• Audit background with due diligence exposure (nice-to-have)
• M&A / PMI or restructuring experience is a plus
• PE-driven finance professionals are also conceivable
• Strong understanding of project business economics
• Solid accounting knowledge (HGB, IFRS, IFRS 15, POC)
• Ability to read and challenge financial statements
• High operational drive and fast comprehension skills
• Strong personality with the ability to work alongside high-performing individual contributors
• Hands-on mindset - comfortable diving into details
• Fluency in both German and English
