We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on experienced Software Engineer Lead to drive the architecture and development of our Android mobile and enterprise-grade Cloud applications. This role demands a dynamic leader who will be instrumental in shaping our product direction. This role will collaborate closely with product managers, customers, and partners to translate complex business needs into secure, scalable, and robust mobile solutions.

Responsibilities:

As a key technical leader, the responsibilities include collaborating with globally distributed teams to deliver high-quality products with excellence, contributing directly to the development process to ensure innovation and success at every step.

• A hands on experienced developer, tehnology leader and manager.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and empower a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Product Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, customers, and strategic partners to thoroughly understand and define workflows, user stories, and functional requirements.
• Technical Execution: Drive the technical design, architecture, and hands-on development of Android mobile applications, from initial concept through to deployment and maintenance.
• Quality & Architecture: Champion and enforce best practices for software development, including secure coding, MVVM architecture, and the creation of scalable, high-performance applications.
• Full-Cycle Development: Lead and contribute to the entire development lifecycle, including UX design considerations, background service implementation, inter-process communication (IPC), and seamless integration with cloud servers.
• Customer Engagement: Travel to customer or partner locations, when necessary (up to 30%), provide technical guidance during the deployment, troubleshoot and fix complex issues at customer sites, gather feedback, and ensure our solutions meet their needs.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• A minimum of 8+ years of experience in software product development.
• Extensive hands-on development experience with Android mobile applications.
• 4+ years of experience in a leadership capacity, with demonstrated success in driving and managing an engineering team.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a strong record of delivering projects on time and to a high-quality standard.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
• Proven ability to architect and build complex applications, incorporating modern UX principles, background services, IPC, and communication with cloud backends.
• Solid understanding of software security principles and experience implementing them.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent with practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Components: In-depth, expert knowledge of the Android application lifecycle, services, and complex components, including Android Foreground Services, AIDL, and Content Providers.
• Full-stack development experience, including cloud platform development and REST API design.
• Strong knowledge of database design and management.
• Core Skills: Expert-level mastery of Kotlin and Java, with a deep architectural understanding of the Android OS internals, Android Jetpack, multi-threading, and asynchronous programming.
• In-depth expertise in secure coding practices and vulnerability mitigation.

Base salary range: 20 000.00 PLN - 29 500.00 PLN per month

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
