Responsibilities

- Provide technical evaluations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs of Depot Level Repairables (DLR)
- Provide technical support to resolve Fleet Casualty Reports (CASREP's)
- Assist with maintaining and updating Bench Stock Repair Parts
- Assist with Annual Future Demand Analysis (Technical maintenance requirements)
- When necessary, provide on-site technical assistance/support to fleet activities
- When necessary, provide fleet helpdesk support and serve as a technical liaison between the fleet and NAVSUP PBLO command
- Review installation drawing packages
- Attend weekly Tier I and Tier II meetings to review actions and make recommendations
- Ensure compliance with Allowance Parts Lists
- Provide oversight on maintenance schedule adherence and progress reports
- Perform Beyond Economical Analyses on Depot Level Repairables (DLR) material returned from fleet
- Assist gov't with developing, reviewing project documents - Possess working knowledge of shipboard SSEE_E, SSEE_F, and SSEE Mods systems
- Input daily repair log information using MS Access databases - Provide detailed repair and testing reports for PBLO items
- Demonstrate expert experience using electronic test equipment such as (Signal Generators, Multimeters, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers)
Qualifications
- Education: Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program; or High School diploma or GED.
- Experience: Five (5) with degree/formal training or seven (7) years with HS/GED of practical experience to include: design, preparation and modification of engineering documents and drawings. Individual shall have notable experience performing one or a combination of the following duties: constructing components, subunits, or simple models or adapts standard equipment; may troubleshoot and correct malfunctions; following specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package simple devices and subunits of equipment; conducting various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard test equipment and records test data; extracting and compiling a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc., processing data, identifying errors or inconsistencies, selecting methods of data presentation; and assisting in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts; developing information concerning previous operational failures and modifications, and using judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information. Individual shall be capable of performing assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents, receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed, performs recurring work independently. Work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions.

- NAVY SSEE_E, SSEE_F, and SSEE Mods evaluations, diagnostics, and repair knowledge of Depot stock material.
- Integrated lab testing and troubleshooting of SSEE material. Strong understanding of the interdependencies of equipment.
- Must be proficient with Electronic test equipment such as Signal Generators, Multimeters, Network Analyzers, and Spectrum Analyzers
- Secret Clearance walking in the door
Desired:
- RF Circuitry board level evaluation, diagnosis and repairs. Knowledge of HF, RF, VUHF chassis'. Unix and Linus Scripts.
- Prior SSEE_E/F midlevel technician with recent hands-on technical experience. CTM School.
