Description
As a Chemical Process Technology Co-Op, you will leverage your expertise in chemistry as a member of Bayer's Chemical Process Technology team. You will help improve manufacturing costs of Active Ingredients, ensure our License to operate, and build relationships with leading scientists and engineers across the organization. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
- Perform laboratory testing of Chemistry experiments in support of Process Development, Environmental Operations, Process Support and Optimization, and other development projects;
- Work on projects under the guidance of experienced Chemists to reduce waste, increase efficiencies, streamline processes, and identify cost savings opportunities;
- Support lab operational excellence and implements best practices in a lab facility;
- Support build of new equipment/reactors in a lab by driving safety reviews;
- Gain knowledge of the operation of lab/bench/pilot equipment/reactors with high complexity.
Please note that the duration of this Co-Op can be from January-June 2026 or May/June - December 2026. This will be a Monday-Friday, 40 hour per week role. Relocation/temporary housing assistance will be offered.

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree or advanced degree in chemistry;
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands on laboratory experience;
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- Good problem-solving skills;
- High degree of personal initiative;
- Excellent organization and planning skills;
- Ability to work well on a team and in a diverse environment;
- At least overall GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale;
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
