A major trading firm has just launched a datacentre and warehouse facility in Slough - and they're looking to bring on a talented Datacentre Engineer to help build, shape, and scale this mission-critical environment from the ground up.

What you'll do
You will take ownership of a newly built facility, supporting all on-site datacentre operations including racking & stacking, cabling, power planning, hardware staging, inventory management, and remote-hands support.

You'll also collaborate closely with Datacentre Engineers across the UK and Europe, occasionally travelling to other sites to support high-priority work.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-standards environments and wants to grow in a world-class financial technology setting.
We're looking for candidates with:

• 2-8 years' experience in datacentre engineering or similar hands-on infrastructure roles (financial industry experience strongly preferred).
• Strong understanding of power, cabling, racking/stacking, hardware installation , and datacentre standards.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues in high-pressure environments.
• A willingness to learn quickly and adapt - this team values potential and drive over perfect credentials
• Comfort working independently on-site while collaborating with wider teams across Europe.
• Flexibility to support multiple facilities and occasionally travel.
