Boston University invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics within the College of Arts and Sciences.
All areas of Dynamical Systems and Partial Differential Equations, broadly interpreted, will be considered. A Ph.D. is required. The ideal candidate will conduct research in the many exciting areas of growth within the fields of Dynamical Systems and PDEs that will help expand the group’s current expertise and that will help further foster the strong tradition of collaboration with colleagues in biology, biomedical engineering, data science, mechanical engineering, neuroscience, as well as in number theory, stochastic processes, and geometry. The ideal candidate will also be an outstanding instructor for mathematics courses, capable of—and interested in—teaching calculus, linear algebra, dynamical systems, differential equations, analysis, applied mathematics, complex variables, and PDEs, at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
